With the chimneys gone, we had high hopes everything would now take off and go smooth and fast as never before. Enter delivery number one.

Anybody with a bit of logic in their body will agree that before you can start tearing something (like a roof perhaps?) apart, you need to have the replacement parts ready. Or at least have an idea how to get it waterproof again, temporarily.

And so we waited.

Two weeks later, when I got home, there was a container standing in front of our house.

I still remember coming home, thinking “now it can’t be long anymore before the roof is gone”.

Especially when the next day we also received the new beams.
